ABOUT

Nature and space – when the two come together, we create environments that inspire us and are good for us. Whether it's green oases in the city that provide shade and a pleasant atmosphere, natural and healthy materials in interiors, or needs-based design with plenty of light, air, and a sense of security.
There are fewer of these places than would be good, but they do exist. And the number is growing. For the WIRKUNGSRAUM Journal, I embark on a journey of discovery to places where nature, people, and architecture come together. Often with enjoyment and joie de vivre.
I am happy if my collection can inspire people to bring more nature into their rooms and lives.

About Maike Kristina Harich
Maike Kristina Harich began her career in journalism and, after completing an internship and various jobs in the media sector, founded her own communications agency in 1998 at just 23 years old. With this agency, she advised national and international companies, primarily in the interior design and tourism sectors. At the same time, she held several teaching positions in corporate communications and worked as a mentor.
Years later, she sold her agency to step away from the higher, faster, further approach and to devote herself to what had always been close to her heart: creating beautiful and soothing environments in and with nature.
She founded a design studio and an online shop where her hand-drawn nature illustrations are available. She completed further training and certification courses as a garden and interior designer and now advises companies and private individuals on how to make their outdoor spaces more natural, aesthetically pleasing, and people-friendly.
The WIRKUNGSRAUM Journal is her very personal collection of beautiful surroundings, inviting architecture, special things, and inspiring people. To share the joy of more nature in our spaces.
The topics are selected purely editorially. Reporting is therefore free and cannot be purchased. However, we always welcome topic suggestions.
