ABOUT

Nature & space - when the two come together, environments are created that inspire us and do us good. Whether it's green oases in the city that provide shade and offer a quality of stay, natural and healthy materials in interior spaces or needs-based design with plenty of light, air and security.
There are fewer of these places than would be good, but they do exist. And there are more. For the WIRKUNGSRAUM Journal, I go on a journey of discovery to places where nature, people and architecture come together. I am delighted if my collection can inspire people to bring more nature into spaces and into life.
I hope you enjoy reading it,
Maike
About Maike Kristina Harich
Having started out in journalism, Maike Kristina Harich founded her own communications agency in 1998 at the age of just 23 after a traineeship and various jobs in the media sector. She advised national and international companies, primarily from the furnishing and tourism sectors. At the same time, she held several teaching positions in corporate communications and worked as a mentor.
In 2008, she sold her agency to get out of the higher, faster, further business and devote herself to what has always been close to her heart: creating beautiful and soothing environments.
She founded her own studio and an online store where her hand-drawn nature illustrations are available. She completed further training and certification courses as an interior and garden designer and now advises companies and private individuals on how to make their outdoor and indoor spaces more natural and human.
The WIRKUNGSRAUM Journal is a digital space where she writes about beautiful environments, inviting architecture, special things and inspiring people, creating a collection that shares the joy of more nature in space.
Incidentally, the topics are selected purely editorially. Coverage is therefore free of charge and cannot be purchased. However, we are always happy to receive suggestions for topics.
